National Women in Roofing (NWIR) recently provided funding for two members of Women Roofers of Rutherford County, North Carolina, to attend Girls Build camp in Portland, Ore.

Women Roofers of Rutherford County, North Carolina, is a local group of volunteers who work with Rutherford Housing Partnership and Habitat for Humanity® to provide volunteer roofing services. The Girls Build program offers day camps for girls aged 8 to 14 years who want to learn the basics of building, including carpentry, plumbing, electricity, concrete, sheet metal and more.

With assistance from NWIR, Women Roofers of Rutherford County, North Carolina, was able to send two additional members to the camp to share roofing expertise with Girls Build campers.
