In 2013, Deer Park Roofing Inc., Cincinnati, created Deer Park Roofing University to educate roofing industry professionals about best practices for residential and commercial roofing. The training center is open to all industry professionals and encourages youth participation in the roofing industry by educating students and raising awareness about career opportunities.

The training center is located on Deer Park Roofing's new 23,000-square-foot facility that includes an office, warehouse and sheet metal shop. Classes taught include Residential Roof Inspections; Roof Asset Management for Property Managers; Roofing 101 for Realtors; and Career Opportunities for Construction Professionals.

The program helps provide uniform, voluntary sets of standards to bring elements of existing homes up to or exceed current code requirements.
